Jordan, Its been my experience that the best way for someone to get in shape is to weight lift.

Basically, you jump start your metabolism. As always, the way you lose weight is through your eating lifestyle, note that while you lift weights, your appetite will increase. All in moderation. So careful not to increase your food intake.

Also, note that you may not see a reduction in weight, and instead you might possibly gain weight for some time. Muscle weighs more than fat. As long as you aren't eating too much, and its not junk food, you're good. Weight gain through exercise is good initially.

Always check with your doctor.

Would you happen to know if it's's safe to lift weights while making an attempt to lose weight? I've made it my new years resolution so I'm trying to stick with it.
